by

  •  High school competitor at Scott Collegiate; daughters competed and coached the sport.
  • Chief Scorer for 40 years; Level 1 coach who developed program for at-risk youths; on Synchro Saskatchewan board from 1973-2003, with two stints as president; served as vice-president of sports development and communications; oversees annual awards banquet, chairs Nominations and Recognition Committee, chaired Sport Legacy Committee and sits on Grassroots Committee.
  • Chaired committees for 1983 and 2001 national championships; given numerous merit awards, inducted into Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

White Dick

by

  • Athletics Director at University of Regina since 1995, helping expand the school’s varsity program to 16 sports teams from six; university administrator since 1981; served as president of Great Plains Athletic Conference, Canada West Universities Athletic Association, and Canadian Inter-university Sport, in addition to serving on numerous committees.
  • -Chef de Mission for Team Canada at 2005 FISU Winter Games and Canadian delegate for FISU General Assembly; presented at 2008 International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education conference and 2011 European Athlete Student Conference.
  • Active basketball official from 1975-90 worked seven national championships and served as president of city and provincial associations; coached various sports and set up programs to develop and evaluate basketball officials; original member of board to establish RSHF

Regina Nationals 1932-36

by

  • Amateur senior team won five provincial championships in its five-year existence, all managed by Jack Farquhar; won Prairie championship in 1932 and was runner-up in 1933, the only years with interprovincial playoffs; lost only one playoff series in five years, a 1936 interprovincial showdown against Edmonton.
  • Played exhibition games against Major League stars, including Hall of Famers Lefty Grove, Jimmy Foxx and Bill Dickey.
  • Three players were with the team throughout its dynasty: outfielders Johnny Stoyand and Joe Haberman and right-handed pitcher Swain Swainson; four-year players were first baseman/outfielder Jack Campbell, right-handed pitcher Hector McLeod and utility player Art Sihvon; other stars include Aldon Wilkie, Joe Trapp, Bryan Forster, Allan Armstrong, Cliff Hogg, Harold Horeak and Murray Armstrong.

Rolls Flo

  • Represented Saskatchewan at Canadian Ten-Pin Federation national championships in 1981, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, and 1996 and at World Cup Nationals in 1980, 1986, and 1989; made provincial National Classified Tournament team in 1995; on Canadian team for 1987 world event in Finland; also competed in Women’s International Bowling Congress tournaments throughout the U.S. from 1983-93
  • Began bowling in 1966, retired in 1999; from 1976-96 led woman’s league 17 times with highest average; posted high score of 279, three-game series of 689 and five-game series of 1,070.
  • Alternate on Canadian CTF team in 1984, team member in 1986 and won bronze medal at National Classified competition in 1995

Clermont Jason

by

  •  A product of Usher Collegiate, junior Regina Rams and University of Regina Rams; two-time conference all-star as a junior and three times in university; won two Canadian junior championships (1997-98) with Rams; record-setting receiver when rams switched to university football and advanced to 2000 Vanier Cup.
  • -First-round draft choice of CFL’s B.C. Lions in 2002; had three 1,000-yard receiving seasons, including career-high 1,220 yards in 2004; member of B.C.’s 2004 Grey Cup winning team; two-time divisional all-star was CFL’s outstanding rookie in 2002, outstanding Canadian in 2004 and 2007; CFL all-star in 2007.
  • Made two Grey Cup appearances with Saskatchewan Roughriders before retiring in 2011.

Antonini Len and Hamilton Kelly

  •  Both served executive roles with Regina Minor Football while implementing a system of
    “12-on, 12-off” to ensure that every team gave playing time to all players
  • Antonini joined board in 1995, Hamilton in 2000; by 2013 RMF had reinstated its non-profit status, set up an office for organizational purposes and storage of equipment, become financially accountable, made plans to develop players and properly divide teams
    while growing in 12 years from 400 players with 110 coaches/manager on 18 teams to     1,612 players with 341 coaches/managers on 42 teams that also came from nearby towns and cities.
  • Helped get artificial turf into Leibel Field and continued making it a top-notch facility with
    grandstands, scoreboard, media booths, concessions and lockers rooms.
