- Graduated through Parks Department hockey league in his home city to play for Regina Pats, finishing his final junior season with 24 goals and 60 assists in 59 games; after playing for Memorial Cup finalists in 1968-69, he spent one season at University of Minnesota-Duluth before rejoining Pats.
- A smooth-skating centre, drafted eighth overall by NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers in 1971; spent parts of five seasons in NHL with Philadelphia, California Golden Seals and Detroit Red Wings; had 12 points in 106 NHL games.
- Also played minor professional hockey with Richmond Robins, Salt Lake Golden Eagles and Kansas City Red Wings, tallying 212 points in 294 minor-pro games.
