Started skiing on homemade skis; joined Ski Patrol and arranged ski trips while becoming a certified coach, leading the Nancy Greene and Alpine Race teams.
After son Mike became paralyzed from a skiing accident, took over Regina Ski Club’s Adaptive Program and set up fund-raising SaskTel Challenge Cup.
Served as official, board member and coach with Regina Ski Club; sat on numerous boards and helped more than 10 athletes advance to provincial, national and para-alpine teams, including Kurt Oataway, who qualified for the 2014 ParaOlympics.
