Hired by Canadian Football League in 1984, worked eight Grey Cups and 318 games in 20 seasons as an on-field official before becoming off-field supervisor
Joined Regina Football Officials Association in 1972 and served on the Executive for 20 years, including a stint as President
After retiring from CFL he resumed officiating amateur games, drawing accolades for his approachability and also helped mentor new officials
Received Award of Merit in 2000 from Regina High Schools Athletic Association, Kiwanis Dad of the Year in 1996 and honoured by Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2000 for developing amateur football in the province
