Rob Bresciani excelled in an assortment of community and high school sports before playing football for the Regina Rams, University of Saskatchewan Huskies, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Calgary Stampeders and Ottawa Rough Riders.
He was named MVP of the 1986 Canadian Bowl after scoring on a 109-yard reception for the victorious Rams. With the Huskies, he was a first-team All-Canadian in 1984.
Bresciani was a member of Saskatchewan’s Grey Cup-winning team in 1989 — a season in which he had a six-catch, 194-yard game.
He was the Roughrider Alumni Association’s president from 2017 to 2023. As well, he has been a CFL Alumni vice-president since 2022.
Bresciani was named the CFL Alumni’s man of the year in 2023 to honour his contributions to the Alumni and the community.
He has played a key role in the development and promotion of team handball and flag football. As well, he has coached football and basketball.
