Life-long involvement with water polo began as a player in early 1970s and continued as a coach/organizer/player past his Hall of Fame enshrinement, which occurred shortly after his under – 19 boys team won western and national championships as a player.
Served on numerous boards, as NCCP course facilitator and Sask Sport’s vice-chair of sport.
Coached elementary, high school, youth and men’s teams in water polo, swimming and basketball, ultimately working with Water Polo Saskatchewan elite age-group teams at Western Canadian and Canadian championships, helping develop top players like Kent Hardisty, Noah Miller, Robin Randall and Kevin Graham.
