- Affiliation with swimming began as YMCA instructor in 1956; assistant coach of Regina YM/YWCA Swim Club 1960-66; head coach Regina Optimist Dolphin Swim Club 1966-73 and assistant 1992-96; head coach Regina Masters Swim Club 1987-90 and 1997-99; Saskatchewan coach for 1979 Western Canada Games after being an official in 1976 and 1978
- Had numerous athletes qualify for youth, junior and senior nationals, including Mike Kanuka, who set 11 Canadian records as a 10-year-old in 1971 and three records the next season.
- Master Official; served on executive of Saskatchewan Swimming Association, Regina Dolphins and coaches association; began swimming competitively as a senior and, at 82, held 38 Saskatchewan masters records in short and long courses.
