Coached University of Regina Cougars 1994-2013, qualifying for conference playoffs 18 straight years and being ranked nationally in Top 10 for 14 of 19 seasons; named conference’s coach-of-the-year four times.
Coaching career began in 1988 as an assistant at LeBoldus High School before becoming a university assistant at Regina and Victoria and a two-year stint as the head coach of Brandon University; coached in Regina Community Basketball Association and won three straight city championships with St. Matthew elementary team; also handled provincial teams and returned to LeBoldus as head coach, posting an undefeated season and league championships in 2013- 14; other roles included president of National Association of Basketball Coaches, member of Canadian Olympic “Own the Podium” leadership panel and an assistant with the Canadian men’s qualifying teams for the Olympics.
Four-year playing career at Campbell Collegiate included two all-star nods, two city championships and a provincial crown; during five years with the Cougars he was twice a conference all-star and set a record of 173 games played; represented Saskatchewan at national championships in basketball, lacrosse, rowing and team handball.
