Football
Joined the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1965 playing until 1976
Played slotback, punter, halfback and defensive back
Played in 179 consecutive games – holds team records for career punts and yards and the Grey Cup mark of an 87-yard punt
Played in five Grey Cup games – 1966, 1967, 1969, 1972 and 1976
Was an assistant coach with the Riders in 1980 and assistant general manager from 1985 to 1988
Was Roughriders’ general manager from 1988 to 1999
Won two Grey Cups – in 1966 as a player and in 1989 as general manager
Elected to Roughriders’ Plaza of Honor in 1991
