Began competing with Regina Athletics Track Club in 1992 at age 50 . . . member of Team Canada at World Masters Games in Italy (2007), Kamloops (2010), Sacramento (2012) and Budapest (2014) … also officiates local meets and serves as provincial masters co-ordinator . . . at time of induction had set 15 Canadian Masters records and three world records — a triple jump of 8.18 meters in 2013, a long jump of 4.28 meters in 2010 and a 200-meter time of 29.82 seconds in 2007 . . . among her laurels are four Bob Adams Awards of Excellence, Sask Sports Award as Masters athlete of the year (2002, 2004 and 2007), induction into the Canadian Masters Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012 and an Award of Excellence in Sports from the Daughters of Africa in 2008.
